Our Services

Montague House - Newcastle

Acedia Care’s very first children’s home is a four bed solo house on the outskirts of Newcastle Upon Tyne. With great links to public transport, local health services and shops, this was a prime location for us to lay down some roots. This spacious four bed home includes a staff room and separate office and boasts generous space for our young person. It includes a bedroom, playroom and sensory room all developed bespoke to their needs, finished off with a sizeable garden for adventure, play and learning.

Beacon House, Gateshead - Coming soon

Acedia Care’s second solo provision, is a four bedroom home with great space internally to transfer from room to room. Once again, it offers a bedroom, playroom and sensory room for our young person to really develop and grow within their own freedom at home. With great access to local parks and play areas, as well as rural adventuring, it's an excellent place for a young person to develop and grow.

What makes us bespoke

We’re committed to making a remarkable difference in the lives of young people who need solo placements the most. To do that, we have built a team who can create and support a trauma informed methodology of care.

By working with a leading clinical psychologist (who specialises in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities) our team will be carrying out a trauma informed approach to provide those in our care with what they need most. Partnering this psychological support with a dedicated, leading Occupational and Speech therapist has enabled us to provide excellent, overarching support to address all areas of need.

We have the right people but we also need to be innovative. That’s why, we’re partnering with ‘Mind of My Own’ and ‘Clearcare’ to ensure the children in our care have a voice and feel heard and respected whilst making choices during their time living with us.
