Working in Partnership

Our team are passionate about working closely with local authorities across the region, as well as external partners, to meet the needs of those we’re supporting. Our support is driven by a focused strategy, recruiting staff to form a bespoke and specialist workforce who will care for and empower the children and young people whom we help to support.

Independent Support & Advocacy

The child or young person in our care will be made aware of their rights and how to access independent advocacy services, their Independent Reviewing Officer, Children’s Rights services and Ofsted.

Our principles of practice endorse the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the team ensure all young people enjoy the rights and freedoms set out in the convention. All young people have the right to feel safe, happy, cared for and listened to.

Children’s universal right to participate is enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which is summarised in these four principles:

•Non-discrimination

•Best interests of the child

•The right to survival and development

•The views of the child.

That is why we have commissioned an independent advocacy service to visit the child or young person in our care on a regular basis.
